JOIN US FOR AN ALL-NEW WORKSHOP
Let's make 2021 your year to write.
Have you wanted to make writing a priority in your life again — or for the first time?
The last year has been a year like no other. We midlife women have been stretched, pulled, exhausted, and drained.
Yet in spite of it all — or maybe because of it — we still want to tell our stories. We want to connect with our writing, maybe more than ever.
Today we at HerStories Writers want to invite you to our newest workshop, for writers just like you.
you are a writer
But life keeps getting in the way.
You want to start (or rebuild) a writing practice.
You want to make writing a part of your everyday life. You want to explore new ideas. You want to make telling your stories a priority.
You want to be inspired and feel a sense of community with other midlife women.
It's hard to motivate when it's just us and our notebooks or our computer screens.
You're not sure if you're really a writer.
Isn't a writer someone who writes? What if you've barely written at all, or everything you do write feels inadequate?
come write with us
You are so far from alone. And, yes, you are a writer.

WEEKLY ZOOM CALL
→ WHAT’S INCLUDED.
Daily lessons will guide you with ways to balance writing with the rest of your life, to find your voice, and to learn about yourself as a writer. Daily prompts will challenge you to find ideas and explore your life as a source of writing material.
Get to know and find support from other midlife women in our private community and our weekly Zoom calls. Ask questions, give feedback, and be vulnerable. We are all there to listen and grow.
Each day you can post your responses to the day's exercises in our private community. Each week you'll choose and post a longer writing response for individual feedback.
what other writers said
Here's what other midlife writers have said about our most recent HerStories workshops:
"Intimate and supportive."
“I loved the intimate and supportive nature of this class and the bravery demonstrated by my fellow participant writers. Jessica and Stephanie’s prompts challenged me creatively and also provided a space for inner reflection and personal healing. A profoundly transformative experience.”
"One of the best experiences of my creative life."
"The HerStories Project has created an inviting and creatively enriching online space with “Small Steps in Uncertain Times.” This extraordinary writing group allowed me to stretch and grow as a writer during the COVID-19 crisis, an incredibly challenging time for me, personally, and the world abound. Writing in the company of a diverse collection of women from all over the United States and abroad was one of the best experiences of my creative life.”
JOIN ANYTIME UNTIL FEBRUARY 6th.
We can't wait to see you there.
Your frequently asked questions:
WHAT HAPPENS WHEN I SIGN UP?
When you sign up, you'll get immediate access to our workshop platform and our private community. You'll get detailed instructions about what to do inside the platform and your first steps inside the workshop.
WHAT IF I CAN'T MAKE THE WEEKLY ZOOM MEETING?
No problem at all! The weekly meeting will be a mix of question and answer, discussion of lesson topics, and informal discussion. Each of the three meetings will be recorded to watch after. You can also submit a question about the lessons or your own writing in advance for us to answer in the call.
WHAT IF I GET BEHIND IN THE WORKSHOP? WHAT IF I'M NOT SURE I CAN DEVOTE 30 MINUTES EVERY SINGLE DAY?
DO NOT WORRY ABOUT THIS. It is impossible for you to get behind. The lessons will be delivered each day, but do not worry if you miss a day here or there. In real life, it is impossible to expect perfection.
WHEN DOES THE WORKSHOP START AND END?
You can sign up for the workshop anytime between now and February 6th. It is self-paced. Once you sign up, you'll start receiving lessons and prompts every day for three weeks.
Who are we?
